By Air
Edinburgh is about 1hour 20 minutes from London.  The main carriers are: British Airways (Heathrow and Gatwick), British Midland (Heathrow), Easyjet (London Luton), British European Airways (London City) and Scotairways (London City).

Edinburgh Airport is only 8 miles west of the city centre with excellent bus and taxi services.  The journey time to the city centre is approximately 30 minutes by taxi and 40 minutes by bus/coach.  Journey times are dependent on traffic flow and time of day.

By Rail
Edinburgh is about 4-4½ hours by train from London.  The principal carriers are:

From Kings Cross: GNER
From Euston (sleeper only): First ScotRail
From London via Glasgow: Virgin

Edinburgh has two main stations.  Haymarket (30 minutes walk) and Waverley (5 minutes walk).  See clickable map at top of screen.  Alternatively there are plenty of taxis available at the stations.

Parking in Edinburgh is fairly restricted. Limited parking is available at: Calton Square and Greenside Car Park (behind Calton Square).
